Prague is about 170 kms away from Cesky Krumlov. We decided to take a bus from Cesky Krumlov that would take 3 hours without any stop in between. It dropped us right at the metro station of Prague – Na Knížecí, from where it was an easy ride to Namesti Republiky (Line B) near our hotel.
Should you too plan to get to Prague from Cesky Krumlov, consider the following points:
- Shuttle costs about 30 euro per person, while the train ticket is about 10 euros per person.
- Train, however, involves a change over from České Budějovice, while bus is direct from Cesky Krumlov to Prague
- The bus journey is about 3 hours long, can take longer depending on road conditions and detours. Train takes upwards of 4 hours
Bus journey is very comfortable, through beautiful countryside. They have reclining seats and TV screens with personal entertainment. Highly recommended!
